How are you? The year is fast coming to a close, and what a year it's turning out to be. Let's take a moment together - take a deep breath - and say it with me: "I will embrace the joy of my small victories."

As schools close for a long holidays, we're not just marking the end of another academic year – we're celebrating our capacity to ensure learning continues despite hard challenges.

The break ahead offers a perfect opportunity to recharge, explore new learning possibilities, and prepare for an even more dynamic 2025.

Funding Opportunity for Public and Non-Profit Edtech organizations

FinCEED, the Finnish Centre of Expertise in Education and Development is currently accepting proposals for the Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa. This program is designed to help Sub-Saharan Africa improve teacher training and governance by addressing issues such as teacher shortages and professional development. The program also seeks to encourage collaboration between African and European universities, with funding available in the range of €400,000 to €800,000 (a total of €4 million is available).

Congratulations to Angaza Elimu on being one of the seven finalists at Global Schools Forum’s next Impact at Scale Lab. Their Innovation, Kalamu, uses GenAI to advance practical structured teacher support to the Teach at the Right Level framework for enhanced foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes in Kenyan public primary schools.

Congratulations to M-Lugha who have been selected to join the African Local Language Partnerships Accelerator Pilot. The pilot is a four-month virtual learning space as part of the co-design of the AI Hub for Sustainable Development.
