Funding Opportunity for Public and Non-Profit Edtech organizations

​FinCEED, the Finnish Centre of Expertise in Education and Development is currently accepting proposals for the Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa. This program is designed to help Sub-Saharan Africa improve teacher training and governance by addressing issues such as teacher shortages and professional development. The program also seeks to encourage collaboration between African and European universities, with funding available in the range of €400,000 to €800,000 (a total of €4 million is available).

Their Innovation, Kalamu, uses GenAI to advance practical structured teacher support to the Teach at the Right Level framework for enhanced foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes in Kenyan public primary schools. Congratulations to M-Lugha who have been selected to join the African Local Language Partnerships Accelerator Pilot. The pilot is a four-month virtual learning space as part of the co-design of the AI Hub for Sustainable Development. Read more about their Work
